Mr and Mrs Graham's Ponds - Stapleton, Leicestershire

Prior to contacting Head Squared was a large natural pond without filtration or water movement. It was overgrown with iris and lilies and boasted 10 inches of sludge . Firstly the pond was emptied and cleaned back to the bare liner.

Added:

• Large low-maintenance Nexus filter,
• Pump,
• Separate fountain and smaller pump to waterfall,
• Ultra Violet Clarifier, and
• Pebbled shallow area for plant baskets.

The Original liner was punctured, and the pond was completely overgrown and full of duck weed. The pond was Drained and cleaned. A new root penetration barrier was added and a liner was cut to shape. New slabs retain the liner in place around the edge. Rocks were placed around the pond to give a more natural finish.

This pond was a small preformed pond with no fish. It was overgrown with plants. The pond was drained and cleaned, some of the plants were removed The remaining plants wer cut back or replaced to leave a more manageable pond environment. It is now a lovely feature for Gillian to sit in her Garden and enjoy.
