If your lake has excessive green water (pea soup like) this is a sign of too many nutrients present. The problem is that the single celled algae that produce green water are plant based. They reverse photosynthesise at night and this can starve the water of necessary dissolved oxygen. This means, on hot nights, fish stocks can struggle and die.

By adding a well specified splash aeration system, the nutrients will be 'gassed off' into the atmosphere. The nutrient reduction will help to reduce the algal bloom and help sunlight penetrate deeper into the water. The mixed water will also be de-stratified and far more healthy. Over time, the poor water quality can be reversed and the lake balanced once more.
